Elul: First Fruits (Notes from the Service)

Elul: The Month of the Left Hand

The left hand represents the creative power of the Holy Spirit!

During this first fruits, we are coming out of Av into God's season of blessing.  When we make it through Av's narrow place, we enter the month of Elul's abundance.

In the month of Elul:

  • We go from a narrow place to a broad place
  • Remember the process a monarch butterfly has to take.  If it didn't have to squeeze through the narrow place, it's wings would never form.
This is a month to be with God in a special way.  A haven of time. A city of refuge. A month of God's favor, because the King is in the field.

Song of Solomon 6:3; Each Hebrew word spells out the word Elul.

God is very accessible this month. Make an effort to go out and meet Him.

What is the field?
Where you work, where you live, your daily life.

God comes down and surprises you with His presence.

When you're in the battlefield. Deliverance from the power of the enemy.

What can we expect when the King is in the field.

2 Chronicles 19 - Jehoshaphat: God is seeking your heart! God wants relationship restored! He desires to bring you into a fresh experience of His character.

Genesis 14 - Melchizedek: This month God wants to draw near to you and refresh you and to bless you. He wants to nurture you and restore your health and prosperity. To overcome emotional drain.

John 1:14 - Jesus!!!: He was God made accessible. Came to manifest God's goodness and righteousness.

How do we respond??
Run to Him! Give yourself totally to Him! Approach Him and receive His favor!

What's This About??

Hi,

I am just starting out with this blog.  Some posts may be testimonies of things that have or are happening in my life, where I've seen God move.  Other posts will be my notes from sermons and other posts may simply be links to videos, other blogs, etc. that God has used to speak to me, be they sermons, songs, other blog posts, or just a verse.  I intend this blog to be something of a prayer journal as well, and I hope that it may benefit others in the process.
